Machines

The Titus range of die casting machines offers significant improvements to producers of zinc precision die cast components and the wheel balance weight manufacturers through low investment costs and high levels of productivity.

Our machine building programme means that delivery times are short and our flexibility means that machine upgrades and customisation can be dealt with quickly and efficiently.

The machines can be purchased in a variety of options, a stand-alone machine, machine and tool combinations as well as complete turnkey packages.

- highly productive fast cycling machines
- optimal material, space and energy utilization
- low total installation costs
- consistent part quality

Titus has two models in its range of multi-slide die casting machines. Both machines are innovative, fast and flexible, ideal for the production of small zinc die castings. The LamaCaster produces parts up to 60 grams. It is the pneumatic machine designed to deliver speed and repeatability in the production of small parts.

The larger more powerful LamaCaster H100 with a combination of hydraulic injection and a hybrid clamping system is designed to produce parts up to 200 grams with excellent surface finish properties.

Technical data

LamaCaster 65

- tool size: 65 x 65 die blocks
- max shot weight: 60g
- locking force: 2 tonnes
- dry cycle speed: 100 cycles per min.

LamaCaster H100

- tool size: (100 x 100) or (100 x 65) die blocks
- max shot weight: 225g
- locking force: 8 tonnes
- dry cycle speed: 70 cycles per min.

Key features of Die Casting Machines

- very fast cycling machines with high production outputs
- split line injection gives low runner to part ratios, typically 10% of shot weights
- excellent process control derived from automated ingot loading and machine control system
- good component quality from excellent shot to shot repeatability
- real-time efficiency and utilisation information with production order tracking
- low capital investment costs and fast start up times

The Lama CombiCaster machines produce zinc over moulded die castings – typically combined zinc-steel products. Fast production rates can be achieved with the opportunity to make significant material savings.

The machine reduces the die casters dependence upon zinc alloy by allowing substitution of material such as steel. At the same time the new machine makes far more efficient use of process inputs and the ‘Combi’ components made on the new machine can often perform better than the standard zinc product.

Technical data

Lama CombiCaster

- tool size: determined by product to be manufactured
- max shot weight: 60g
- locking force: 2 tonnes
- dry cycle speed: 100 cycles per min.

Key features of Combi Casting Technology

- significant component cost reduction
- performance improvement
- opportunities for reducing the impact of zinc price volatility
- loading systems permit rapid feeding of inserts
- complex dual material components can be made
- high production outputs

We are a specialist producer of wheel balance weight machines. The LamaCaster Wheel Balance Weight machines are ideal solutions for wheel balance weight production that can make either zinc (lead free) or traditional lead wheel balance weights.

The wheel balance weight machines are perfect solution for producers looking to re-equip or to improve their manufacturing productivity. The machines are very attractive to manufacturers looking to start up in the wheel balance weight business due to low initial costs and ease of operation.

Technical data

- LamaCaster BW60: Single impression tooling for wheel balance weights from 5 to 60g
- LamaCaster BW30-2: Two impression tooling for wheel  balance weights from 5 to 30g
- LamaCaster BW250: Single impression machine for wheel balance weights from 20 to 250g

Key features of Wheel Balance Weight Machines

- can utilise zinc alloy as raw material
- fast cycling and easy to operate
- low cost machine and modular tooling
- excellent part quality and consistency
- high speed clip transport and feeding system

Customer service

Our products are backed up by our outstanding customer service from several strategic locations in Europe, Asia and America.

Technical service

Technical support is available via remote WIFI link directly to the machine or by a visit by our service technicians if the issues cannot be resolved via the on-line connection. We also offer ‘value engineering’ of new components and advise on how best to tool them to take advantage of the four-slide approach. We are also happy to advise our customers on all aspects of the four-slide process including post casting operations.

Spare parts

Availability of ‘in-stock’ standard spare parts permits fast response and quick delivery times.

Customer training

We can provide a comprehensive training for customers' operators and maintenance personnel. This training can be carried at our company's facilities in Slovenia or by special arrangement at customers' plants.

Repair and Service

We can undertake the repair and refurbishment of many of the machines key components such and goosenecks and melt pots. This service can be tailored to individual customer needs and its main objective is to provide an efficient and cost effective service to our customers who do not wish to carry out these tasks.
