In 2009 TitusPlus focuses on connectors, concealed hinges and soft closing systems to continue to provide furniture manufacturers solutions that improve their furniture, increase productivity and lower the cost of furniture assembly.

Originally, Lama Automation and Lama Tools produced tools and automation equipment for hardware manufacturing. In the early 80s they started to offer their expertize to other companies and in October 2007 they came together as an autonomous company. Lama Automation designs and constructs machines, devices and components for assembly automation in various production processes, specializing in the electrical, automotive and medical device industries. Lama Automation also provides vital support for the Titus hardware development team, enabling faster and more efficient introduction of new products.

Building on its leading position in the RTA segment, Titus decided to leverage the opportunities offered by its global development, sales and distribution capability to provide an extended range of product offerings in other areas of furniture hardware. Titus identified Lama’s potential in concealed hinges and soft closing systems and Huwil’s successful specialization in kitchen door lift systems and damped sliding door systems and acquired both companies. This has resulted in a group with five successful niche brands each with synergistic benefits for each other and their customers.

Soon after its estabilshment Titus achieved a leading position as a supplier of furniture connector systems for ready to assemble (RTA) furniture. A process of continous innovation in connector design produced the advanced Quickfit technology and the revolutionary Titusonic process for ultrasonic glueless assembly of cabinets.

Lama established to produce locks in 20 years evolved into a specialized high volume producer of furniture fittings for furniture manufacturers in the former Yugoslavia. In the 90s it specialized in concealed hinges and in 2005 launched Glissando, a one-for-all hinge soft closing system.

For most of the 20th century Huwil specialized in furniture locks and was the earliest provider of mechanical fastening systems for furniture. Expansion in the into decorative handles and sliding door mechanisms was followed in the 1990s by the introduction of the range of market leading door lifting mechanisms.
